I’m not sure when this started as I haven’t used it in a while, but my “Drop New Media” has stopped working. I am up to date on Updates (the last of which I just did a few minutes ago). Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
The latest is working for me. When the DRAG is hovered over the box, the down-arrow icon begins a simple “moving” animation, and the DROP results in RM adding the media and highlighting the added media with a colored background in both the Gallery and List views… whether sorted by Caption or FileName.
Are all specific media types failing or perhaps only a certain filename.extension type ?
Update: I just tried to add a media file (jpg) not using Drop New Media and instead entering the file name in manually, and that no longer works either. Before anyone asks, I have not changed the file path for my media in my settings, or moved my media to a different folder. Except for Word docx (for which I use File type) all other media I have added (without issue)
I have used Image type.
Also, I don’t have any Broken links for all my other media.
- Just a note that the third way to add media is to click into that box (that you had entered the file name manually) and on the far right will show a little folder icon that lets you browse to your file system and select media.
What is the path in your Settings for the RM Media folder? Are you working with removable media like USB thumbdrive or portable SSD? Can you drag’n’drop media (outside of RM) to that folder location?
Ok, I seriously think I am losing my mind. I just used your “3rd” way of adding a file, and for whatever reason, I was able to add some files. I then tried the the Drop New Media option and that also worked. WHAT THE HECK! Mind . . . lost. For whatever reason, I am now back in business, and I have no idea what that small extra step did to accomplish my objective. kbens0n, thank you for your input. For whatever reason, that one small thing you suggested seems to have perhaps reset something and put me back in business. ![]()
