Hi, I’m new to RootsMagic.
I downloaded v10, created a db, then linked to my Ancestry account and tree. All data and images came across OK, but none of the DNA information or known links that I have to other Ancestry members. Is there a step I have missed? Do I need to register my DNA results in RootsMagic, if so where ?
Does RootsMagic sync the DNA data from Ancestry, if so how, or should I uninstall and re-start.

No, the DNA bits are a manual operation. There would need to be changes made by Ancestry on the API that they give to RM to communicate with their systems. Until then you have to go person by person to enter it.

That’s sad ! The most useful DNA matches on Ancestry, are the people we don’t know, so that they can confirm a link and/or test for a common ancestor. We are unlikely to have these people in our trees. There’s hope for the future, I suppose

If someone reading this knows how to scarp a web page, a lot of people would be grateful for a download utility.
There was a a program (or it may have been a browser plugin) that made it easy to scrap Ancestry DNA pages but Ancestry did something that broke it. I don’t think the author ever fixed it.

sounds vaguely familiar – many sites have things in place to prevent capturing data.
Well, I did a quick google search and came across-

If you join their mail list, you can get a copy of a google spreadsheet that can extract the relevant data. It doesn’t get it directly from the site, instead, one goes to the match page at Ancestry, continue scrolling until you have all the matches you want to download in the current window, select all, copy and then paste into the spreadsheet.
It worked. I downloaded about 1600 matches, I copies he data into an Excel spread sheet.
Now what do I do with this?

guessing it would be potentially possible to update the RM DNA tables from results (I have not tried yet)
