@PaddyB Unfortunately this has been a problem for a while-- if you put Descendant Chart in the search box at the top of the page, you will find many discussions such as this one I posted a while back comparing RM 8, RM 9 and RM 7

Have Descendant Charts ever been fixed in RM 11?

@khaden --playing around with this–RM 8 and RM 9 use to produce a fairly nice report BUT ONLY IF YOU LIMITED IT TO 3 GENERATIONS and there isn’t a lot of descendants in each generation-- the more generations/ and or descendants you have the smaller it gets like Kevin’s example Using the same person and same number of generations with same settings on RM 8 and RM 9 This is RM 9 [image] This is RM 8 [image] RM 8 is better BUT really NOT readable Here is RM 7–again same person and same # o…

As for a top to Bottom, basically the only way you can get a readable report is to stay with abt 3 generations where each family had a few kids-- if Mom and Dad had 9 kids-- forget it, you can’t even read the chart because you have 9 kids and spouses..

Now as for the blue highlights which is actually on all 4 types of reports , on the report settings, click on the arrow by No Coloring
Then click on arrow next to DEFAULT BOXES
UNDER FILL, move the little round circle to the area you want ( whole upper line is white)
generate a report to see if everything is how you want it–if NOT just keep moving the circle…
