I wish that there was a separate Styles and Fonts settings for Notes and that it was not subsumed into the Default font size setting. If I change the Default point size settings to get the font size I want for the Notes, it changes several of the other categories, i.e. Headers, Footers and Labels, all of which I have set to the way I would prefer them to be formatted. It’s very frustrating. Can this please be put on the list of “wishes?”
I assume you are talking about reports and not screen faults. I certainly agree.
I also think that the Research Note and the Detail Comment need their own fonts, not subsumed into any other fonts. I use Consolas for Endnotes, not because I want Consolas for Endnotes but because I want Consolas for Research Notes and that’s the only way to get Consolas for Research Notes. Consolas is a non-proportional font, which means I can use it to print census transcriptions in columns as they need to be printed. But I would rather the Endnotes themselves be in a professional looking proportional font.
Yes, Jerry I was referring to Style and Font settings in reports—in this case a Family Group Sheet. And thanks for sending me off to Google re-learn about proportional and non-proportional fonts. As a former administrative assistant I’m sure I was aware of the difference in the past, but my 70+ brain needed a refresher on that one. In any event, I wish those reports settings were a bit more flexible.
