Clearing People Index by "X" can lose the cursor

In the People Index (version 11.0.4.0):

If I enter a search name, then

click on a name in the results without going any further (just read the People screen), then

click the X in the People Index search box,

the field clears and

the cursor disappears.

Please plant the cursor in the search box after a clear by the X.

Please plant the cursor in the search box after a clear by the X.

Workaround is to NOT clear by the X, but instead, just click back into search box and alter the filter text.
