Rootsmagic 11.1.2.0 Windows 64 Bit - I have spent the last few days adding media to various events, baptisms, marriages etc. Have then used Treeshare for Ancestry to update my tree on Ancestry, using the option of “Update existing event on ancestry” ticking the check box for media and then accepting changes. Screen shows “Uploading Media to Ancestry - Updating Ancestry Tree - shows 100% and appears OK. However, it doesn’t update the Ancestry Tree. Have tried Resetting Treeshare - makes no difference.
If I create a new fact with media attached and use “Add as new event on Ancestry” it works fine.
There have been a number of issues with that interface that it is hoped will be resolved when Ancestry move over from 2 APIs (which are currently used) to one.
Have you upgraded to RM version 11.1.2 in the last week (that sorted my treeshare problem)?
In the interim my only suggestion would be to upload the media (which you presumably have on your PC) to those on your Ancestry tree via the gallery tab on their Ancestry profile. It might be interesting to find out if you uploaded media to someone on your Ancestry tree whether that would drop down to RM via treeshare. In any case uploading it directly to Ancestry, for those that are missing media included in RM, would make sure that it does not get overlooked.
