If after searching I cannot find a person in FamilySearch and choose to add them from within RM, does it add their sources, or only the person?
Nevermind, I went ahead and tried it. It did not add any sources. How come?

It’s a limitation that the FamilySearch API has. We can’t send notes or sources with a person. Same when you download them. They have to be added one at a time.
okay no problem. I thought I be overlooking a step, thanks!
Even beyond the limitations in the API that FamilySearch provides, the data model used by FamilySearch is a good bit different than the data model used by RM and much other desktop software. For example, FamilySearch does not even have fact notes. I’m not sure I understand all the other differences in the data model well enough to comment very well. But I have ended up doing most of my FamilySearch work while being logged on to FamilySearch rather than doing it from within Family Search Central while using RM.
I really can’t make my data in FamilySearch look like my data in RM. I may be missing something obvious, but I would love to see a good tutorial entitled something like “How to make data in FamilySearch look like your data in RootsMagic”.
Well mine in ancestry doesn’t look anything like it does in RM, and I’m happy with it in RM so I’m not going to change it. Doesn’t really matter, I was just surprised. I haven’t played with syncing much yet, as it seems problematic and isn’t really important to me.
