I occasionally try to add new information to FamilySearch through the spit screen from matches. However, when I click to send information from the RM side to FS the wrong information may get transferred. For example I send a second spouse. Then I send the marriage date. However the marriage date gets assigned to a previous wife. There appears to be no way to fix it. I tried to replace the wrong person’s date two times by making the choice to add it to the correct person and ended up with the wrong date to the wrong person 3 times on the FamilySearch side. How does one correct this?
I have not “sent” info to FS but when I want to add or change FS, I go to the FS website for the person and add the info directly there.
When there is more than one marriage make sure to select the correct spouse when sending to FamilySearch. Same when sending to RM. If you didn’t select the correct spouse you will need to delete the marriage and add it again. To remove the incorrect marriage on FamilySearch check the box next to it and select the option to remove. It will bring up the same screen where you see the multiple spouses because the option to add to RM also there.
