I’m creating a Publisher Book with several types of RM Reports in it where their text comes from the various RM Reports generated by RM. I’d also like to include some text onto the Blank Pages in the Book - how is that done? A “simple” question?
Cut & Paste from an MS Word file doesn’t seem to work… and I don’t see a way to “pull” it in with RM.
You would Insert blank pages into a book… which effectively “reserves” those for You to wholly and separately create them externally and manually place them in the order at the “reserved” location(s).
Yes edit the final .DOC or .PDF (careful to fit the confines of the page and not alter page numbering).
Publisher lets You “effectively” template a Book. Any of the Chapter options checkboxes, other than Blank Page, is text/graphics generated by RootsMagic. Then if You’ll check the displayed preview of pages to be printed… anywhere you’ve reserved a Blank Page in the output… You’ll see there is an “almost” blank sheet, but with the Title and Date at the top and the page number at the bottom. You would then either edit the final Book as you mention OR insert that printed sheet into your printer and print any “other” text or graphics onto the blank area from some other software OR separately create AND print page(s) (including Title/Date/Page) and then manually insert/arrange in the final printed output of the book.
Yes, if you can manage the DOCX saved from Publisher in MS Word, then you can paste content from other sources onto the blank pages. If you change the pagination, you will have to update indexes.
Thanks Kevin & Tom - great suggestions. Now I see End Notes - how do request they not be prepared? I saw the option for an Index - there one for End Notes?
