The profile image is the primary photo on the Person row of the Edit Person screen. Check that it is still marked “Primary photo” on the Edit Media panel. Do you seen a pink label “Media file not found” when on the Edit Media panel?

I uninstalled RM9 and reinstalled it and the problem persists. I tried an image that is on another person, so I am sure the image format is not the problem. still will not show on the profile!!! Suggestions???
On the Edit Media panel check that the Media Type is Image. If that is not the issue then open a support ticket with a backup with media included. Tell the support agent which person to look at.
