What is named groups (in color coding)

I am new to Rootsmagic. I am interested in the color coding. I see that there is a “named groups”. I am curious what this is and how to use it.

It’s a way of filtering a subset of the people in the database for inclusion in some displays, reports, exports. Best to use the Help control in the program to answer the basics.

I use Groups for “Born in (specific state)” , “Died in (specific state)”, “Buried in (specific state)”. Over the years I have created many groups which I find invaluable. Can color code them if needed. Have fun.
