SQLite Error 8 RM10

I am currently getting the above message when I attempt to close my file. The alert states “attempt to write a readonly database.”

I did update to the latest version yesterday (RM 10) and also moved some files around in my hard drive.

I have tried to just close the file without backing it up, but get the same message. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I have thought about doing a forced closure, but am worried I may lose everything in the file.

If you are not getting that error while editing the database, I think you are safe doing a forced closure. The .rmtree file gets updated as you edit (check mark or close edit dialogue). So if it is not protesting, it must be one of the background files that RM employs for processes that is throwing the error message.

Hi Tom - thanks for that, but the error message came up when I tried to tick a fact.

I have solved my problem. I moved some files around and that did the trick.

Are / were the files located in a folder that is connected to the cloud by chance?

Yes kevync1985 they were.

that might cause it – if using OneDrive for example - you should pause syncing until you are done working with RM. Officially RM says to not use OneDrive or other cloud services. Many of us do however, use RM without issue when pausing syncing.(for OneDrive anyways)

Thanks for that advice Kevin. I didn’t realise about the cloud services. Cheers
