RM11 - how to insert exact geo locations?

In RM11 → Places there is a “Place List” and a "Mapping” view. In the “Place List” view each entry comes with an “Edit Place” window in which I find it impossible to edit Latitude and Longitude. Whenever I even touch these fields, they are set to 0. In the “Mapping” view there is a blue dot somewhere in the fields adjacent to the listed locality, but there is no way to move that dot into the right place. Can anybody tell me what can be done to correct slightly off geo locations? Related to this question: Even if the field “Standard” of the “Edit Place” Window in the “Place List” view, contains the exact same entry as another line with geo-locations, the missing coordinates are not inserted when I run the “Geocode all places… “ tool. What is going on here? How is this whole feature supposed to work? - Thank’s in advance for any hint.

In the Place List side window are the Lat/Long fields. You can enter info there.
If you want a more exact location (like a grave) you will need to go to the grave itself to get it.
Cemetery locations in Find A Grave may have gps for the entrance.

No, I can not enter anything there. Even if I only place the cursor into the Lattitude or Longitude field, the coordinates will be set to zero.

these tips should help – you need to make sure you do have have any extra chars or spaces as that can cause issues.

no idea since it works fine for me - contact RM support

Can it be that you are not US but European? Then probably it doesn’t work due to your international settings in particular due to the setting of the decimal character.
