I have been spending a lot of time correcting places as having valid places has shown extreme value in validating other searches electronically. (and probably on paper searches too).
I would like a check box on place and place details that allows me to track if I’ve been able to verify if the place or place detail in question is real or named properly.
I really do not see the necessity for yet another check box. I always do a thorough check on a place before entering it if it is one that I have never come across before, however, that said, if I was trying to do what you wish to do i.e. create a check list then I would probably run a Place List report and do it in Word or Excel where you can make notes add a check mark etc.
