remain MATCHED… just no longer displayed in a VIEW of their former Parent(s) or a VIEW of their former Spouse (from prior when You approved the MATCH). If You delete them or unMATCH them, subsequently, You would HAVE to go through the Find Matches screens again and re-approve the match for the family shown or choose another from the suggested More Matches of Find More button.

That’s where it gets more difficult

with several Josefs, Johanns, Marys ..

the direct display of year of birth, year of death would make the assignment MUCH easier.

But, what I meant (in my replies) about your wish that Birth date accompanies Names within the list (filtered or not filtered) to be able to differentiate those with same/similar names is… that “component” is really ONLY for “filtering” and ONLY for “matches” and matches that You (yourself) have already approved. Any one of those in “the list” can be highlighted and already have all their info available because there is an Edit Person button directly above them (shown in yellow) to check (Birth, Nickname, Family Events timeline, etc.):

You are accidentally misinterpreting. Under Possible Matches it is presenting ALL potential possible matches CURRENTLY entered in the FamilySearch FamilyTree, including your “previously accepted” one, for “completeness” sake.
