Somehow my 6th cousin was made a spouse of my great-grandmother and I cannot remove or unlink him. I don’t see an unlink command if I right-click the erroneous name either in the dropdown next to it or the 3-dot menu. Help.
Make sure you have IDs turned on.
Can you send screen shot of what/where you are trying to do this?
I believe the life summary screen might be easier for this in most cases.
Patershall Hunia Allen is my 6th cousin through my mother’s line and Mary Stewart is my great grandmother through my fathers. How they got connected is a mystery to me. I just want to unlink Patershall and I can’t find a way. One screenshot shows the right-click menu; the other the 3-dots menu
The Edit Person screen is a child window of the View screens, so one can only delete the Marriage fact, not Unlink as Spouse. Unlink is from right-clicking directly upon one of the linked Spouses while in any View screen itself.
In the Person record for Mary Stewart in your screenshot, below the bottom of the screenshot you should see a Marriage fact for her marrying Petershall. If you delete that, the record will be “unlinked”.
