Groups in an individual's record

Why is there no way in RM 10_0_7_0 to print or see any of the created “Groups” within the printing of an individual record?

Interesting. So do you mean if you’ve created a group such as “Quaker ancestors” or “Confederate Soldiers” then that group membership would be listed on an “Individual Summary” report?

In creating various “Groups”, I am not able to locate any way to print the group members or even input details, such as a hyperlink.
The list shows the number of individuals assigned, but I can’t find anything else. It does not even show in a “Narrative Report”

Any of the list reports can be filtered by a group but there is no report that lists in what groups an individual is a member.

What are You envisioning?

One can see all members of a group in the People List view (the drop down defaults to Show Everyone, but any Group can be selected to show its members).

All Reports with the Include? option in their Settings can narrow the reports’ output to just members of a Group (including a Custom Report).

Change the Include from Everyone to your particular Group as I did

And, the group does not show up in any printed document such as a family group sheet, narrative report. So, what’s the point of being able to create groups?

You can view a list of people in a group or print a report of all the people in a group, but you cannot show what group a person belongs to in a report. If you want Groups to show then you would need to add a fact that stats that information. On the Tools page under “Add a fact to everyone in a group” you can select the group and a fact type (possibly miscellaneous) and enter the name of the group in the description field.

The point of a group is to filter who you see in various areas of the user interface and in list reports to just the members of the group. Very useful if you are focusing on some people who have something in common (or maybe some who don’t have). You can make the sidebar index or the People List view show just the members of the group so they are not mixed in with everyone else. You can batch print Individual Summary reports for a group. You can have a report such as the Individual List or a Custom Report include just the members of a group instead of everyone.

The 2 reports you stated are not designed for Groups.

See my earlier post regarding Individual List.
