Have You tried the approach described in the video link below? Of course, you would do the reverse (change comma to a period). This would obviously be a temporary one-time as needed thing. how to change decimal point to comma in windows 11

One method I use is to click on the location in Google maps, right click to display the coordinates, then click on the coordinates displayed which will copy the lat/long coordinates to your clipboard. In RootsMagic-places, paste the copied Lat/Long coordinates into the Latitude field and hit tab which will move the longitude to the longitude field. Then save.

copy paste from google maps don’t work, after i copy them it will make them red i it will show 000000

Copy from google maps (left click on the lat and long from the pin icon), switch to RM, right click, paste into latitude box on edit place window, which will paste lat and long into latitude, then move your cursor into the longitude box and left click, the longitude magically moves down into the longitude box, then press save (the tick icon top right)

there is a problem with this with the . and , i don’t live in the USA i live in Europe, and i don’t want my language settings change for only Rootsmagic, i get then problem with all my other programs, you need the otherway around.

i have for this also that i cannot geocode the place details..

Okay, if my other suggestion is aggravating to change in and out…

…the only other currently possible way seems to be → re-program another key on your keyboard. I suggest using the SharpKeys suggestion on this web page
