Many years ago I did separate Family Files in RootsMagic. I have a tree on Ancestry. Can I upload another RM10 family file and attach to existing tree? Or must I enter all data manually?
The options are to upload or download an Ancestry tree. You cannot attach to an existing tree there. You can have as many RM databases as you want. Same for Ancestry trees. The only limit is the RM database can only be connected to one Ancestry tree.
What you can do is to Add/Merge the people who are NOT in the connected tree to the one that is. Then you use TreeShare and it will show you have a bunch of people to add.
1 - Open the Connected RM tree
2 - Open the non connected RM tree
3 - Drag & Drop from NON connected to Connected
4 - TreeShare the Connected tree and it will show all the “new” people that you can add to Ancestry tree.
Backup the Connected database first.
Clean up the Places
