I constantly use the FamilySearch Central to prompt me to review my tree. But I have a question that deals with a situation I am encountering. When I select View, a list of individuals appears under the filter, “People Changed On FamilySearch”. When I view someone on the list, I see three categories where I can compare FamilySearch data and Rootsmagic data. If I select a correction under ‘Vital Information’ or ‘Other Information’, I can make changes and the system stays ‘static’ and allows me to make several changes and does not advance immediately to the next name on the list. But if I make any change under ‘Family Members’, in particular adding a member from FamilySearch to Rootsmagic, the minute I click “Okay”, the system advances to the next record on the list. I may want to make several additions to add members to the family but when I do, I am unable to do so because I am forced to move to the next entry. Is there a way to toggle this auto-advance off? Or how do I change my workflow to allow me to add members, etc. and then proceed to the next entry on the list?
are you using the filters?
One caveat about “Changed people” is when you add new people from that filtered view they drop off,
if you want to clean “ALL” changes you can do “RESET”
When a second-level filter is selected, adding a family member refreshes the index list. If the person you’re focused on no longer matches that filter—for example, because they were changed on FamilySearch—they will be removed from the list. (Once a changed person has been viewed in FamilySearch Person Tools, they will be removed from the list.)
To prevent this, set the second-level filter to “No extra filtering” when you want to add a family member.
Perhaps I may be misunderstanding you, but on my version of Rootsmagic, there is no hiearchy to the level of filtering.
There is a ‘Filter Off:’ which I assume is the first level, which never changes.
Below that there is a Filter.. for certain variables.
What I am attempting to find, for want of a better explanation, is a way to manage my workflow by finding all of the individuals in the “My RootsMagic Person” column whose data does NOT match the data in the “My FamilySearch Person” column.
This would allow me to omit individuals that are no longer needing any intervention with their status.
That is the first workflow process I am attempting.
As mentioned above the reply that you alluded to below doesn’t seem to work. I would suggest that the ‘Filter Off:’ indicates some indication of status, like On or OFF… if your software does that, how to I fix mine software?

:Filter Off: is equal in meaning to ALL PEOPLE with changes. Actually, clicking upon it opens this little screen to genealogically filter down to people you might be more pressed to keep updated. (The forum software is currently errors out during my .PNG image uploads, sorry!)
Yes, currently, the default selection is the list of People changed on FamilySearch, but those listed may have not had any actual data fields changed. Presuming that other actions such as adding/deleting children, parents, spouses or merges of duplicates, ETC. also come across as “changed”, more programming would be needed to isolate (filter) the list down further.
Also, the other “hitch” You were describing (where going away (from Family Search Central) to another part of the program to handle adding/deleting children, parents, spouses or adding sources or other such, in fact, loses the person You were working on… is (as rzamor1 said) “removed from the list” because the assumption is that you were finished viewing or working with that highlighted name (even if no data was edited ~ just having been at the top of the list when you navigated away from FamilySearch Person Tools screen).
The workflow of managing changed people on Fam Search and RM can be tricky to maintain if that is part of what you are asking about. People will show up on the list at times because a person in same family group (on Fam Search) has been updated in some way.
I think you need to create a group (Maybe Ignore Famserach the name is not important really) then you can filter for that group of people – the criteria or manual part would be what is needed and the tricky part – FSC can only do positive not negative (Not in) so the group criteria would be the tricky part – the you would only that group – in your case might want “Work FS” but that concept is the same once you get the group criteria correct
