“Edit Citation” pane fields that launch the Text Editor should behave the same on a mouse click as do any of the single-line text fields

On mac, in the “Edit Citation” pane, clicking anywhere on the row of a single-line text field puts the field in edit mode. However, for any of the fields that launch the text editor, you must click take care to click on the field value portion of the row. Clicking on the field name portion of the row simply highlights that row.

I’m requesting that fields that launch the text editor have the same on-click action as single-line text fields, ie a single click should put you in edit mode.

Single-line field (mouse-click on field name):

Text Editor Field (mouse-click on field name):

versus Text Editor Field (mouse-click on field value):

The note field have the down arrow to the right. Doesn’t behave much different that RM11 did when arrowing down those fields. You can still use the right-arrow key to open the note field. I like to use the spacebar or just begin typing. The later is about the easiest to use and not much different than typing in a text box field when highlighted.

Thank you for the quick reply and the space bar tip. That should help until I develop new muscle memory.

And you are right. RM11 did behave the same but RM11 had visible lines outlining the table columns so it was easier to see where you had to click to enable editing. I’ll get over it!
