I haven’t seen that it’s possible but it would be really helpful to me if godparents and godchildren could be connected. Because godparents are often somehow related to the child, it would help me to determine how they’re related, especially if the godparent has multiple godchildren.
Or if someone has a suggestion about how to keep track of godparents, I’d appreciate it.
You might use the RM shared event feature on the Baptism fact type. Add the role “godparent” to it. Then share each person’s Baptism event using the godparent role to both godparents. Unfortunately, there are shortcomings in the reporting of and searching for shared events and compatability with external systems but you can see them via the Edit Person screen and some canned reports.
