Calculating dates of birth/death, etc

I know that RM 11 will calculate end or start dates based on age, but often in reading a newspaper article, the author writes something like, “Jim was buried last Tuesday”. In a case like this, I have been pulling up a calendar of the year of the publication and manually identifying what the date of “Tuesday” was. How do you all handle this? Is there a software program that you use (I don’t like looking up the calendars on Google–too many ads), or am I missing a way to do this with RM 11? Any shortcuts appreciated!

Not a way to do it in RM, but why not just go to Calendar 2025 and type in the year you want. As I recall there aren’t any ads and you can even print the calendar if you wish.

Thank you! This will work very well for my needs! Can’t believe I didn’t know about this site

If you enter the data of the article into RM … click on the calendar icon (it is usually hidden) and you can see when it was published and when “last Tuesday” was

I agree with maddog. I pull up the calendar icon in RM all the time to figure out “last Tuesday”. And it lets you paste the “last Tuesday” date right into the date field without further ado. I have never had a reason to go to an external calendar when entering dates into RM.

The Calendar is also available on the People page under Tools, Calendar.

That makes a lot of sense, and thank you. Seems I’m usually my own worst enemy when it comes to getting things done efficiently
