I been trying out the AI prompt builder and it’s been building prompts with the wrong dates.
For example, I’ve tried the AI prompt builder on my grandfather. When it builds the prompt it gives the wrong birth year for my father and gives a year for his death (he is still alive). It also builds the wrong dates for other people in the prompt.
When I use the prompt builder for my father it has the right birthdate and no date for his death. I can’t seem to figure out a basis for these wrong dates. It has my father’s death as 1993 but that is his mother’s date of death. My grandmother’s date of death is built as 1987 and the only thing close is the death of her sister in 1987.
I’m pretty positive I have my information entered into Rootsmagic correctly. Can anyone reproduce these same type of errors?
I have no multiple dates entered. The last prompt I tried for my grandfather was as a “Professional Genealogist” and to “Summarize Key Life Events” for an academic audience. All names, all events and all boxes checked. This time in the prompt it had my father’s birth year wrong and listed a death date. Also other dates wrong. If I do my father, his dates are correct, but others are wrong. It seems for the primary person I build a prompt for the dates are correct but for spouses, children and siblings are off.
Run the database tools under File, Tools to rule out any issues there. If you still have a problem then open a support ticket with a backup of the database to test.
That did it. I only run the “Rebuild Indexes” and “Integrity Check” and everything seems correct. It’s odd because I run those just a week ago. Anyway, the AI prompt builder is pulling correct data. It is a really cool feature!
