While I don’t have a paid subscription, I like having my family tree on Ancestry on the off chance I may make new connections or learn something new. I try to be very careful when I upload changes (which I make frequently) using TreeShare for Ancestry. However, occasionally making changes results in errors or duplicate people on Ancestry. Sometimes, I am immediately aware of these errors and duplicates and can fix them. Sometimes, I find errors or duplicates unexpectedly, which makes me concerned that there may be others I am unaware of. To address this issue, I periodically disconnect my RM tree from Ancestry, delete the Ancestry tree, and upload the current tree to Ancestry. I am aware of several potential issues with the process (e.g., Ancestry tree sharing), but I am more concerned about errors and duplicates.
