Does Roots Magic synch with my computer and an iOS device? I looking for a true synch - so if I make a change on one device it automatically synchs with the other.
No, Roots Magic does not “Sync” with anything. It can “Tree Share” with Ancestry; 'Share" data with Family Search or load a “Read Only” file to Dropbox to be used in the iOS app. None of these are automatic.
Thank you very much. That is what I thought I was understanding but I appreciate the confirmation.
If a person had a network drive – would it be possible (not simultaneously ) to access the same database from a PC and from a Mac (or two pcs etc)

I have read that there is a problem with NAS/Network drives because SqLite3 is designed to work only on local drives. TomH provided this link in 2022
Possible but the SQLite developer has warned against it for reasons of performance and reliability and risk of corruption - do so at your own risk,

I used to share a database on OneDrive between a Windows tablet (that’s how long ago) and a Windows laptop with media, the RootsMagicuser.xml and spelling files shared on Google Drive. That worked well because everything got mirrored through the two cloud drives to each device’s local drive. And OneDrive had the wanted behaviour of suspending sync when a file was in use.
I used RM8 & RM9 on OneDrive successfully without issues with the setup I have. I was curious if a Network drive attached to Router for example might be an option for some people.
