I am moving to RootsMagic from another platform. After adding tasks to some events for a person, I find that when I search for all tasks for a person, only the tasks directly attached to a person are listed, not those attached to the person’s events. I wonder if there could be a tab on the left edge of the person panel, similar to the Media tab, that gathers all tasks associated with the person.
You may be able to what you are asking by using task folders.
Go thru the items in HELP to see if this is what you want Task Help

BobC - Thank you for the reply. It is a good workaround - although I have to take the extra step to add the task to the folder and then leave the person screen to go look at all the tasks. For now I think I will just add the tasks to the person, not the event - adding the Event type to the name of the Task - e.g. James McCord - Birth - Look for death certificate to confirm location. I am also adding the task a folder: PROJECT: McCord Family.

I always put the person’s name at the start of the Task name eg SMITH John (bbbb-dddd) Birth registration, SMITH John (bbbb-dddd) Marriage.
