Searching Place Details

I’ve run into a small frustration with RootsMagic 10 (which I mostly love!). I can’t always remember in what Place I put some Place Details. For instance, I have many ancestors in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, which contains cities, townships and other geographical distinctions, and I can’t always remember if I entered (as a made up example) Calvary Cemetery as being in Schuylkill Haven or South Manheim Township, since it’s arguably in either. But I haven’t been able to figure out a way to search on Place Details. When I search in the Place tab, it only searches Places, which doesn’t really help.

Would love to hear others’ thoughts.

Thanks!

The blank field at the top of the Place List screen acts as a “filter” for Place names only. But within that screen you can determine which Places have Place Details, because the Details column has a number. Another help for your Schuylkill County search would be the three-dot menu option Reverse places, which filters the Pennsylvania counties alphabetically.

Find Everywhere (upper right) searches Place Details quickly.

Ah, I hadn’t used the Search Everywhere. That appears to work perfectly. Thanks!

One option is to do hat Kevin Benson described.
I am not a big fan of the UI (user interface) of Place Details in RM 10 (and other versions).
The Tables design is probably okay - but I find the UI awkward to work with in many cases

This is one reason I limit use of place details
