RootsMagic, Macs, and second monitors

I’ve been using RM for several years now, and was happy to finally have a native Mac version. I learned not to run RM9 on my secondary monitor (access violations all over the place), but now it’s apparently a problem to even have a second monitor turned on while using RM. I couldn’t disconnect a database from an Ancestry tree, and after much back and forth with support we discovered that turning off my second monitor solved the problem. This is really going to mess with my workflow if I can’t even have Firefox or Scrivener open on my second monitor. Why on earth would having a second monitor turned on cause a problem? I would hate to have to switch to Legacy (using Parallels), as one of the reasons I went with RM in the first place was the lack of a proprietary database structure in RM.
