Rootsmagic Help File

I downloaded the RM11 help file to my PC. How can I move the file: index.html to the top of the list? Clicking on that at the top is much easier than scrolling down the list. I know it can be done, because I did it before, but my feeble mind has forgotten how.

In Windows 11 File Explorer, right-click upon index.html and select Show more options followed by Create shortcut. The shortcut will be named index.html - Shortcut and (for me) appears up near the top (below the folder named jstopics).

Thank you, I knew there was a way to get Index near the top so one does not need to scroll the list to find it.

Unfortunately, it did not work for me. The shortcut is now next to the index.html.

I can only suggest renaming the shortcut files’s name to anything that is alphabetically first in that folder -or- changing that folder’s Sort setting to this:

If you add the default location of the local help files under Settings, Folders, Help Folder pressing F1 will automatically launch it for you.

Yeah I just figured that out today. It works great. I also did it for RM10. I have RM7 because I still need that for the RM App. Wish someone would update the app for Android, as it only works for my iPad. I do use the RM website, which is good.
