GEDCOM Export UI oddity

Since I have had issues with GEDCOM exports (RM 11, MacOS) at times when special characters (i.e emojis) get embedded in notes I’ve started paying attention to the counts displayed when exporting a GEDCOM.

The thing that threw me off initially was most of the counts are never displayed. When I do an export is displays the person, family, and source counts and then quits.

I’d like to see two things; first, all the counts be displayed. Second, that there is an “OK” button that pauses the window for a bit so a person could see those counts and maybe get a screen shot of them. It’s entirely possible that those counts are displayed, but only for a fraction of a second before the window closes.

You didn’t mention it, but even if you look “real fast”, the last counts you see before the window with the counts disappears are likely not the actual final counts. So in a sense, the problem is even worse that what you describe.

Interesting, I never checked that. I used various tools to see the counts while tracking the GEDCOM creation aborts. I was assuming it was an issue with a source because I never saw source counts, but saw that sources were coming across in the GEDCOM as expected.
