Has anyone come up with a way to show a living persons current age in the edit screen? I know I could create a report to do this. I thought at one time, RM did show a living persons current age. I am running the latest Mac version.
The Edit Person window isn’t configurable for a constantly-adjusting Age value, but for an “in the moment… don’t want to do the math” way… Add a Living fact, select the Date picker default (Today’s date) and click the checkmark to save the fact. Then observe the Age column (when event occurred) for the answer. Delete it afterwards (or reuse it the next time you’re curious, LOL).

If you know they are alive, enter Residence fact with just a date. You will get their age.

I think age of a decease person on edit screen would be a nice enhancement – as for current age for a living person not seeing how that would be something most use would care to see on the edit screen.

What date would I put in?
If they alive Today … Today.
If you have a document (census, obit they mentioned in, residence, etc) put that date.

Today’s date for current age, assuming you have a Birth event with a valid date for the person.

I shared a custom Age fact with everyone living in my database. I changed it to today’s date when I want to see how old they are. Change in one place and it changes for all.
