In both my RM 11.1.2.0 database (Win 11) and in FamilySearch itself, the family Mother is Rose Levy (LRBZ-NKB), and the Father is Marks Bentwich (9QDT-T6M):
Because of this, I can’t sync up the FamilySearch Central listings for Rose and Marks with my RM 11 listings. I have already tried unlinking and deleting everyone in RM, unmatching them in FamilySearch Central, entirely closing RM, and even rebooting my computer. However, the problem does not get resolved.
the problem is either still on Family search or needs to be refreshed if it was recent fixed
Option 1: The Fast Fix (Web Browser)
The easiest way to resolve a “swapped” parent issue is directly on the FamilySearch website, as their tools for relationship management are more robust than the RootsMagic API bridge.
In your RootsMagic FamilySearch tool, click the Show on FamilyTree button at the top. This will open Herbert Bentwich’s page in your browser.
On the FamilySearch Details page, scroll down to the Family Members section.
Locate the relationship where the parents are swapped. Click the Pencil Icon (Edit) next to the couple or the child.
Look for the Switch Spouse Positions tool (often found under “Tools” within the edit relationship box).
Note: If the issue is that one parent is listed with the wrong sex (e.g., Rose Levy is listed as a Male), you must first edit her Vitals > Sex to “Female.” Once the genders are correct, FamilySearch usually snaps them into the correct Father/Mother slots.
After saving on the website, go back to RootsMagic and click the refresh icon (the circular arrow next to “UnMatch”) to update the view.
I think it might only be visible if there are not as expected (now I might know why I was confused before and could not find it after someone else corrected)
Odd, I’m still not seeing it. Oh well, I believe you that it was there, must be triggered by something else. What I’ve had to do in the past was unlink the child and the parents and then put everyone back together.
I think I see the difference now. It either has to be a same-sex couple or one where the sex is correct but in the wrong parent1 or parent2 positions. If you look on a couple where the male and female are in the correct positions it won’t show that option.
