Edit Person screen - Place Field - Jumps to end

Hi, This little thing happens when I am editing an existing Place while in the Edit Person screen. I am correcting the Place usually changing a city. In the state of Pennsylvania they have townships. For those townships (two words, first word same as the city) that also has a city (one word) by the same name this happens. For example, the original Place I had for the birth was “Anywhere, York, Pennsylvania, United States”. I change “Anywhere” to “York Township” but as I am typing it jumps after “States” and that is where “Township” ends up.

Is there anyway to change how Rootsmagic provides Place names to choose from when we enter a Place name on this screen, can it wait to provide selections after we press enter or something?

It sounds like you are referring to the auto complete list that happens as you enter a placename. No, you can not alter that list. You are shown suggestions based on what you have typed so far.

well, the “preview” is based on the place name table and gazetteer. if what you are typing is in neither it will not preview something to autocomplete. I suppose a feature to turn off autocomplete could be implemented but by doing so it could cause duplicates.

Go to Places and edit from there.
