JohnThew
Prior to buying RM9, I built twelve Thew trees on Ancestry, all with known English “origins”. Seven of which have their earliest recorded members living in the North East. The key details for the people on these trees are also included on a single Excel spreadsheet that now contains over 3,000 Thews. Each of whom has been recorded as Thew on at least one UK record, be it census, parish, bmd, or otherwise. These records will soon be imported to the Thew ONS website (below), enabling visitors to search for their Thew ancestors, learn more about Thew migration, Thews who served in various conflicts (there were at least two Thews at The Battle of Waterloo in 1815!) and much, much more.
