I have been researching (loosely in professional terms) my family history for many years. I have been more serious in terms of being more structured and trying to be adherent to genealogical methodologies over the last few years. I have done quite a bit of adhoc research into various software applications (Mac OS based) aimed at reducing the reliance on paper based methods. I am a firm believer that if the work I have been doing is to survive it stand the best chance if it is all in a digital form.
