I retired in 2011 from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas with 36 years in Information Technology. I was team lead designing and writing software on numerous applications. The largest application was new billing and posting system. Promoted to Manager the last 15 or so years.

Started genealogy activities on my parents blood lines some 25 years or so ago. Used Ancestry and Family Tree Maker (FTM) until Ancestry sold FTM. I moved to RootsMagic 7, now 8 and like this software over all the others I have used. Always learning new features with version 8. While i use Ancestry that tree is an ancillary tree to aid research. RootsMagic is serves as my Master File. As most genealogists do, wide range of research sources.
