Treeshare comms problems

I will try to explain the issue. Imagine that I have charged new and/or additional information in several people in my database. Usually that new/additional info was chosen from Ancestry (Webhints). The info is there and everything is OK. So after going to the next step (push the Ancestry bottom), and waiting that the process of Collecting changes finish (100%), it stops. I continue waiting for some minutes, and finally I close the Collecting changed window. The new information (dates or including new people) disappears…
Now, to avoid this, first I update the FamilySearch database with the new info. After that I push the Ancestry button. If the info disappears, I have the option to recharge it from FamilySearch. This issue is new for me, and not sure if this is something is wrong in Ancestry or in the RM 11 (I am under windows 10). Of course, sometimes everything is OK, and the process works without problems. My Database is around 40K people.

So you:

  • find changes mostly on Ancestry side (usually on Anc side)
  • you do not update changes in RM first you update fam search with those changes
  • You then go back to tree share?
  • when you are down changing on “TreeShare” them (Anc to RM)
  • any remaining changes “TreeShare” them (RM to ANC)
  • when done you close all those treeshare windows between Ancestry and RM
  • Not sure what RECHARGE is -
  • The I am guessing since manually changes it only a close match but that is not exactly clear
  • Why not wait until RM is in sync with Ancestry then update Fam Search accordingly? and only update fam searc manually if needed?

Are you forcing the program closed when the “collecting changes” stalls at 100%? I’m wondering if you are then opening a different database instead of the one you just adding information too? How are you reopening the program and database?

I am forcing that closing the collecting changes windows (may be that it has reached 100%, or just 0% searching, but delaying the process a lot - some minutes comparing to just few seconds). After that, just pushing the Ancestry button (not closing the Ancestry connection). After that it could happen the following options: Appears a small window telling that the database does not exist, or it has another owner, or other comments. Or it begins from 0% again stopping again, or continuing up to get 100% and stopping. Or completing the process. Usually not affecting what I have charged in my database, but sometimes deleting the new info that I was trying to update.
I have closed the Ancestry connection, and I have checked if the Ancestry account is OK using a browser. After that, I have push again the Ancestry button in the RT program, connecting it again (usually in good way, sometimes with the small windows that I have commented up.

It is difficult to explain… I have not changed the way in which I have related my database with Family Search and Ancestry since RM 7. But after the last updated versions of RM 11, the problem has appeared.
I hope that somebody who speak english has the same problem soon to explain using the right words… hahaha.
Meanwhile, I will make small changes or individual changes in my database (from webhints or other sources), after that updating Family Search, and finally pressing Ancestry button. If an issue happens, it would be easier to recover last changes looses.

If you have the ability to do a screen record with audio that might be helpful.
If there is a local genealogy group (even if not RM specific ). Or you might need to set up time with RM support so you can demo it for them.
