I don’t like to use the file names from Ancestry, so, is there a way to keep my RootsMagic tree and Ancestry tree in sync with just the information and not the media? My other option is to be sure there isn’t any media attached to my ancestry tree

If you add an Ancestry source with media to RM the media will come over. No way to stop that. You can rename the media files. It’s best to open the File Explorer through RM to rename it. Then the link is fixed to the media item at the same time.
