I have transferred a gedcom file into Roota Magic from Brothers Keeper. In BK. the first photo in a person’s set of photos is automatically the primary photo. Is there some way I can specify a setting, in Roota Magic to do the same automatically? Otherwise I shall have to edit some 200 files individually to specify the primary photo …

that feature (to automatically or batch update) a primary photo for a batch of people does not existing in RM. I have seen outside tools that will do that. I nothing in mind that I would recommend. Basically a tool could looks for any person that did not have primary photo and choose first media item for that person. (if only linked to person and not fact for example).

I feel it is urgent for me to find a tool that will do what I need about setting up primary photos from a BK gedcom file.
I have about 800 names transferred, for which there are photos - and it would take me hours and hours to do each one by hand.
Cab you direct me to any bespoke software that could do this, as you described above?
check this site out – they have other info but I am not sure if that script was tested for RM11
These scripts are not support by RM and before run any scripts you need to make sure you have backup(s). Lastly you need to do one time setup to install extra software which can before found on that site and ask questions there if needed
