I have been searching for how to remove an empty note. From all that I found on here, there is no way. Is that still the case?
No such thing as an empty note. There is something there, regardless of whether you can see it or not.
In the note field, click then hit CTRL-A then hit the backspace key.
The title of the note still shows even though the note is blank, even after doing what you suggested.
Notes don’t have titles, they belong to the fact/person/place. Do you actually mean something like a Task. Which does have a title. A screen shot would be helpful.

Are you referring to the database issue where RootsMagic generally never leaves any field as null but instead inserts an empty string for text fields?
Need a screenshot of where you are seeing this blank note with a title.
Only the notes listed on the left preceded by an asterisk have anything actually in the note at the right. The others are blank and I cannot find a way to remove the note from the note column. I searched the forum and saw this problem mentioned for earlier versions of Roots Magic.

The items in the view are simply a list is all of the possible places a note could exist for that person. It doesn’t mean that a note exists.. The asterisk identifies if a note exists.

If a note does not exist, it is confusing to see it listed. It should be able to be deleted. Upon searching this forum I have seen that issue back several versions on Roots Magic.
Agreed. The Edit Person Media and Sources tabs (and the other tabs) have implemented the same concept of a List with Asterisks if an item has data attached, so I’m getting used to it. I don’t know if it’s a limitation of how drop-down list boxes work or an attempt to maximize screen real estate but it was confusing for me at first as well.
The reason the facts without notes are listed is so you can add a note if you want to from that view.

A note isn’t listed unless it has an *. Places to enter a note are. Two different beasts! I don’t use version 11, but I can see where people doing a lot of data entry at once, might find it useful.

Blank notes were notes I decided to delete and I see no reason to having them still show up in Notes. Maybe a future fix? Right now the note is deleted, but it is not gone. Very confusing.
I think that if this happens, it needs to be an option. I use it the way it is, that is, if there is not * in front, I know I don’t have a note and can add from here if I choose. This is my preference.
