# Internet - Generate files for a website Option in RM7 - can't find in RM8

In RM 7, I could click on Internet - Generate files for a website and create a file to upload to my personal website. I cannot find this option in RM 8. Does it still exist? If so, where is it located? THANKS!

The “Generate files for a website” feature no longer exists. The only option in RM8 is [myrootsmagic.com](http://myrootsmagic.com).

The only practical alternative is to export whatever data you wish to post on the Web to GEDCOM and use that GEDCOM to generate a site using a tool other than RM8. As a simple example, you could use RM7 for this purpose. Import the RM8 GEDCOM to RM7 and create your Web site that way. But there are many other alternatives as well.
