# I am 84 and find the font used in Version 12 very hard to read. Everywhere in the program. Books that were 350 pages long are now much shorter because of the font. ---

There is font scaling under Settings, Display for the program. For a book you can adjust the font and size under Styles and Fonts. ---

The problem isn’t the size, it too thin and faint. I increase mine to 125%, yes it’s bigger but still hard to read. ---

One child jumped off the weak font bridge, and the rest of the children have jumped off the same bridge. I find the weak fonts to be very hard to use, no matter the device and no matter the app. It’s hard to believe that any particular font would satisfy everybody. RM7 had a feature that allowed the user to select their own fonts. RM 11 font was fine on mac large, sharp and dark with a setting to scale size up or down. This is a real advantage of RM over FTM. However RM 12 is thin, l ight and fuzzy on mac. ---

I’m going to watch this topic and the comments. I did like the ability in RM7 to adjust the font, but I don’t know anything about programming so I don’t know why such an obvious winning feature was removed. That aside, though, if the font is thin and faint without the ability to change it - how am I supposed to see it without eye strain? I haven’t plunked for RM12 yet, so it’s good to know about this before deciding whether or not to upgrade. This isn’t the sort of thing that is tweaked in a version change, so it would be a deal killer for me. ---

There’s a 12.1 updates thats just been released that addresses this issue amongst a number of other issues…
