How to capture Address types in one Repository

When creating an Address (Repository or otherwise), sometimes there should be an office location address and a separate mailing address. I’d rather not use a workaround, like adding the words ‘Mailing Address’ somewhere in the Notes.

Can we get a feature-request to add support for capturing different address types within the same address object?

How would you document this Repository’s addresses without using workarounds?

There are 2 separate lines for the address. You could put one on each line or denote the difference there. Otherwise, its best to make a separate address/repository entry if you need to keep the information separate.

Well thinking outside the box and this is not conventional, you could do this

Guess Renee and I were thinking along the same lines— You also have NOTES right below it that you could put one address–

My question would be where are the records actually located–at the office or at the mailing address?
If I didn’t want to do dual addresses, I would put the address where the records were located in the top and the other in the notes

If I did that, and later printed off addresses say for shipping labels, wouldn’t both addresses then appear? I tried to see, and here is what I get when printed (not optimum):

Now sure why I personally would ever want to print off shipping labels for a business like this-- I would just write it out BUT that is just me— in your case, you would have to have 2 addresses-- one would be with the repository as we talked abt and the other would actually have to be the mailing address under ADDRESSES if you want to use the print Address labels in the RM publish as it only gives you the option to print addresses NOT repository addresses

or both would be under addresses

Since one cannot send mail to the premises:

If you want to use address labels I would do as nkess suggests and add the mailing address to the Address list instead of Repository list. That would be a good way to tell them apart since the lists are separate.

I like this. Looks like an elegant workaround, although I’d prefer the ability to have 2 addresses for the one if they exist
