# How do I add footnotes to a story?

Put your cursor inside the story were you want to add one. Then go to Insert\>Footnote and fill out the text box.

I was trying to run on MacOS Catalina like RootsMagic 8. Managed to install on a Windows 10 under Parallels on the same Mac.
