# Feature request\_ Import of Family Search 'Life Sketch' data type

When I import data from Family Search, there is often a field labeled ‘Life Sketch’. This field is nearly impossible to use after import. Would it be possible to import this field into a ‘note’ type field such that the entire text can be seen at one time instead of just what fits in a tiny box?

What I do is simply jump to that person in FamilySearch and copy it. Then paste it into a note on RootsMagic.

We looked at moving it to notes. The issue was it will never match with FamilySearch since they are using the description field. We left it to the user to determine if they want to copy what is in the description field to the note field. Then the user will understand why it shows a mismatch. Place the cursor in the fact description field and use Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C to copy it, then paste it into the notes.
