I have a person listed in my RM8 program with 1 FamilySearch ID number; however the corresponding person in FamilySearch was merged and now has a different FamilySearch ID number.

How do I change the FamilySearch ID on my RM8 person so that I can again link my person up with the same person in FamilySearch.

> As long as the old FSID was not deleted, but only merged on FamilySearch, it should update the FSID after visiting the person. Open them in the FamilySearch Person Tools then display someone else, come back to them and the new FSID should appear. If you need to UnMatch them you can click on that button on the Share Data tab then on the Find Matches tab find the person to link them to. If you have duplicates there you can check their box next to the possible match and review the match to merge …

I answered this on your post on Facebook.

The UnMatch or updating the FSID issue is only on the Mac version. That is why others are not seeing it. See if you can remove the match by going through a family members FamilySearch Person Tools screen. Under family members click on their blue FS icon on the FamilySearch side. It will have the “Remove match” option.
