# Ancestry Webhints: View Online Link Not Working

Running Windows 11 and RootMagic 10.07.0. After updating to RM 10.0.7, the Ancestry Webhints link is no longer opening a person’s record on Ancestry. I receive a browser error in both Edge and Firefox “This page isn’t working right [now---search.ancestry.com](http://now---search.ancestry.com) redirected you too many times. Try deleting the cookies for this site”. I am signed in to [Ancestry.com](http://Ancestry.com). Deleting cookies and browsing history does not fix the issue. And strangely, using the TreeShare to access a person’s record on [Ancestry.com](http://Ancestry.com) does work. See attached.

Is anyone else having this error? Any suggestions?

Known problem. When you click a hint and it opens in a browser window, the URL starts with ‘search’. Edit and change to ‘www’. Ancestry apparently broke something and the devs are is discussions with them.

same new issue on mac but changing https:// to www.search does not work.

Probably because you dont change it to ‘www.search’ you replace search with www.
